Duna Jam takes place along the southwest coast of Sardinia. It’s a ten-day-long, self-organized music festival. In 2022, I researched the local community’s perception of the festival. Results showed welcoming feelings by the inhabitants thanks to the economic impact on the small businesses and the push on the cultural stagnation. Over the years, the residents, regular participants, and organization grew a harmonious relationship that allowed them to build a cultural event with higher consideration and respect for the local community’s needs and customs, bond with inhabitants and discover Sardinian traditional cultural practices.
